Shelford 22 Rugby Baden-Württemberg 0

Shelford Under 13s and 14s teamed up to play a touring team from Rugby Baden-Wurttemburg. In the first half Shelford Under 13s took on the combined RBW team. It was an epic encounter with no quarter asked or given. Such was the intensity of the tackling that neither side could cross the opponents' goalline and the first half ended scoreless.

Both sides brought on their under 14 big guns for the second half and it was here that the directness and aggression of the Shelford boys showed. Firstly powerful flanker Sam Collicott burst through to score. Then a beautiful flowing move involving forwards and backs led to a try for Callum (second row from the under 13s).

A kick ahead by flanker Ollie Walker led to a second try under the posts for Sam Collicott as a cruel bounce eluded the RBW fullback. George Smith added the extra points.

The final score came when another excellent passing move led to a try in the right hand corner for hooker Tom Picton Turbervill. Ultimately the power and direct running of the Shelford boys was too much for the brave German touring team and the match ended 22-0 to the home side.
