Shelford Development Squad vs Upper Clapton - cancelled too(Friday evening)!!

 After Richmond bottling it on a Saturday morning at least Bournemouth have had the decency to ring Thursday night before training (probably after having a look at the league table). At least it saves us a 3 hour car journey, but we will be very disappointed if we do not get a fixture especially with a tough league encounter against Chinnor to decide 2^nd spot in the league at Home next Saturday. 

We are trying hard to ensure the team get a run out but so far the conversation with fixtures secretaries on the exchange has gone something like this: “Are you looking for a game?” “Yes.” “Can you come to us?” “Yes.” “What team are you from?” “Shelford 2^nd team” “ Errrrrrr no thanks, you are probably a bit good for us”.  It is very disappointing that teams do not relish the challenge of playing a good standard (as we did against Loughborough students or Southend last year getting humped both times! But learning a lot in the process). Maybe we should send these teams a video of the last 15 mins of the Saffron Walden game, then they might be up for it!
