Sunday Monday Happy Days, Tuesday Wednesday Happy Days, Thursday Friday Happy Days, Saturday What a Day. Rucking all week with you! Another week,  another valiant effort. Thanks to all 22 lads who played (where were you last week?) The game took place on a pitch which appeared to be wider than it was long. Newmarket managed to find ALL the tall people in the town and found kit for them. They had centres that belonged in an American National park.

They picked on our scrum half and on several occasions I thought he was one of Henry the Eighths wives. I have booked a eye test for the ref - how he missed the kick off short kick I will never know. The pack performed well given the weight advantage they had and by the second half we held them in all departments. The backs were strong but the sheer size difference made it difficult to stop their attacks. At the beginning of Casualty you see a situation that you know will develop into an A & E situation. Today I didn't see the signs but by the end we needed a mini bus to our wounded back to the club house. I hope everybody is recovering as we need to do this again next week. Special mention this week goes to Alastair for being a brilliant 'mole' burrowing in and coming out with the ball, big Kev for strong running , Tim and Richard for battling through a difficult game, Alan for trying runs that have never been tried before and all those who were playing today with only a couple of games in the tank or were playing with injuries - well done and it'll get better. Keep fit, keep smiling and we will win.
