Shelford 10 - Cottenham 47

Sorry lads my CSE French cannot keep this up. I'll stick to my first language.

We were a mixture of experience , youth , stalwarts and rugby virgins and we played a great game of rugby. The opposition were coming off the back of a number  of good wins but after a faulty start we gave them as good as we got.  The new faces gave a good core of ability and although we played a lot of the early game on the back foot we developed and by the middle third of the game we had them in their half and scored a couple of well worked moves.

Their tries were a mixture of well worked forward moves and 'opportunists tries but we kept coming back each time. The scrums were solid but lacked experience but we developed and even won one against the head. I would like to mention Denis , Phil (Jim) ,Sam, Jono , Joey and Crispy for giving their all under difficult circumstances and for all the others for making this afternoon an enjoyable event. Thanks lads and hope that we can do it again and again .......Written with a smile on his face by Richard Craddock.
