On Friday night, Shelford travel to the Channel Island of Jersey to play against Jersey RFC in what will be the first encounter between the two sides. Jersey were promoted to London One at the end of last year and have made a solid start to the season with wins against Tring and Sutton & Epsom, a draw against North Walsham and a loss against last week at Barnes. Shelford on the other hand are sitting atop the Division with 4 wins out of 4 and a positive points difference of 86 points.

We are looking to continue this winning run in what will be a challenging encounter against an ambitious side who are very difficult to beat at home. We take a strong team to the island and are aiming to build on what was our most impressive performance of the season last week, at home against Hertford.

We realise that many of our supporters will not be there at the weekend, but we look forward to bringing a victory back to the Davey Field and look forward to catching up with you at our next home game.
