Conversions: Dann (9) Penalties: Dann (1) Bishop Stortford were on the receiving end of yet another thrashing, as Shelford put together their best display of the season on Saturday. In a game that was dominated by the home side, the Shelford forwards were outstanding in their ability to dictate the play and bully the opposition pack at will. This provided ample opportunities to spread the ball wide to the wings and allowed the backs to put together moves of their own that had been honed on the training ground. Our two performances against Bishop Stortford have been our finest of the season and based on these displays, they must think that we are the best side in the league. This assertion was supported by their players wishing us the best of success in National 3 South next year. In order to do this, we must firstly win all of our remaining games and secondly hope that both Worthing and Barnes slip up in the second half of the season. If we continue to play like we did on Saturday, there is no reason why we can't achieve the former. All we can do is keep winning each game as it comes. |
