Scorers: T: Birkby (2), Dann, Davies, Jones, Glynn, Ronaki, Saunders, Tovo C: Dann (6) P: Dann (2) For the first time this year, the forwards and backs combined superbly for the full duration and put Civil Service to the sword in a thrilling performance that contained 9 tries. The platform was created by an extremely physical display by the Shelford forwards, which provided quality ball for the backs who ran in tries from all areas of the pitch. We are continuing to improve our game and have added quality players in key positions. This performance against Civil has set a precedent for subsequent performances and we will look to use this as a foundation for a successful run up to the Christmas and New Year period. No more losses this year is a realistic objective now. We have demonstrated that we are good enough to achieve this and a professional approach to the remainder of our 2007 fixtures will make us an extremely difficult team to beat. Skips |
